What a race! Lewis Hamilton smashed it at the Spanish Grand Prix last weekend, proving that he and the Mercedes team are back in the game. Seriously, it was like watching a different driver and car out there.
Remember the start of the season? The W15 was an absolute nightmare, all over the place and eating tyres like candy. But this time? It was like a whole new beast. Lewis looked comfortable and confident and was flying around the track.
He didn’t jump to the front immediately, but that was all part of the plan. While the Red Bulls went off like rockets, Lewis played it smart, saving his tyres and waiting for his moment. And boy, did that moment come.
He stayed out longer than most, setting lap records like it was nothing, and by the time he pitted, he had a massive lead over the rest. He came out in fourth but with fresher tyres than everyone else. And then the magic started.
One by one, he picked them off. First Sainz, then Norris, and he was closing in on Perez for a second before the checkered flag. He took third, but honestly, it felt like a win. This was the Lewis we all know and love, the guy who never gives up and always finds a way.
It’s clear the Mercedes team has been working their butts off to improve the car, and it’s paying off big time. The W15 finally looks like a proper race car, and Lewis drives it like he stole it.
Verstappen is still the fastest, but Lewis showed he’s not going down without a fight. This season just got much more exciting, and I can’t wait to see what happens next. One thing’s for sure: you can’t count Lewis Hamilton out. He’s back, and he’s ready to rumble!
