Lewis Hamilton went on to WIN the Silverstone GP even after 10 Second Penalty which was given just to Max’s fans and team principal to make them happy.

Lewis Hamilton entertained his fans with masterful driving. He showed the world today why he is the Number one and the GOAT. Driving with great focus and skill, he overcame a penalty that technically left him right at the back and won an immensely difficult race.
Max learnt the hard way being aggressive does not always guarantee a win and you can end up in another driver’s racing line and endanger yourself and others. Anyway, we the fans of F1 and Lewis Hamilton are glad Max is safe, but Max needs to release a statement to calm his racist fans to stop abusing Lewis on Social Media and Lewis’s fan sites like this one. We have not seen this level of racist abuse since Lewis beat Alonso. Sadly nothing has changed with racist fans of F1.
Lewis still sent a kind message to Max.
Today is a reminder of the dangers in this sport. I send my best wishes to Max who is an incredible competitor. I’m glad to hear he is ok. I will always race hard but always fairly. My team showed grit and perseverance out there. It’s a dream to win in front of my home crowd
LEWIS HAMILTON
My husband and I watched the race. At the time, we commented that Verstappen had turned in sharply. I was delighted to see Sky Sports coverage showing Verstappen’s hands as he aggressively cut across Hamilton. We have criticised Hamilton in the past for is tax avoidance (Monaco) and BLM (political organisation). However, he has always been a fantastic driver and has owned up to anything on the track where he was in the wrong (very few cases). Racist abuse should be treated with the disdain it deserves. There are, unfortunately, morons with no brain cells in the world and we cannot stop this behaviour. If it is not ‘blacks’, it is ‘paddies’ or ‘newfies’ etc. There is always someone at the butt of bad behaviour. Before this race, my husband and I wanted ‘the best man’ to win the championship. Now we only want Lewis to win. I cannot abide injustice. Lewis should NOT have had a penalty. Were it not for Christian Horner’s emotional outburst about ‘being lucky noone was hurt’, we feel there would not have been a penalty. Rather than Red Bull complaining post race, Mercedes should. We also felt Toto Wolff was very restrained – a lovely man.
