BUT WAS IT WORTH IT?
What a fantastic drive today, but it took so much out of Lewis. Whoever made the error and told Lewis to stay on the track made a big mistake. These are avoidable mistakes. Then expecting him to get a podium from 14th place, what were the team thinking? We fans knew Lewis would do it, but the physical cost today was too great. Lewis couldn’t even speak, and it was obvious he was feeling ill while he was on the podium. All that adrenaline in his system. I don’t think he even drank any of the champagne. We are happy it is the summer break now, and he will get to rest.
About the race, should Alonso be penalised? If Lewis did the same against someone else, would the team like Red Bull, who have been barking all week, stay quiet. So it’s one rule for the others and one rule for Lewis? Just asking…..
Anyway, the fans are delighted that he is back on top with the points, but the team needs to take it easy, especially when they make such a colossal error.
Lewis the gentleman as always had this to say and still complimented his team.
’m so proud of the team today. With everything that’s happened this past week, they have all stayed composed and focused. Fighting like the champions they all are. We still have a lot of work to do but thank you all for all the positive energy and support #teamlh
