Me and my family met Lewis at “Stars & Cars” in Stuttgart last year in November and I had the opportunity talking to him and I gave him a CD-ROM from all the comments on this site which have been made after his World Champion Title win. I told him that this unofficial fan site, thanks to the moderator for this opportunity, is the best one for all his fans all over the world to share their views. He appreciated this present very much and he said to all of you “Thanks for your continuous support”.
He is a very kind person and has a nice personality and all the rubbish what has been said about him being arrogant is not true. He took very much time pleasing a lot of fans in Stuttgart with an autograph. I will never forget that day!
Tomorrow the new MP4-24 will be presented in Woking. I am sure also this new McLaren Mercedes will bring Lewis to the next Championship win!

Hi can anyone please answer this query,my friend said she was in llanelli in wales on monday 8th december and had pictures taken with lewis hamilton and one is stored on her mobile phone, fair play it does look extremely like him,but i’m a bit baffled as she said there were only a handfull of people there,there has been no local press coverage,also whenever I mention it no-one seems to have heared he was there ,which I find a bit strange because I would imagine him to have had a huge turn out.

Hi Lewis,
I want to say how much it means to me that you won the world championship this year. My grandfather died on Weds 26th November after a long fight with cancer at age 75. It made his day to see a British driver win the championship. In his last hours – even though he was unconscious – I was speaking to him about Formula 1 and when I said your name I knew he had heard as he nodded his head and tried to smile.
I am going to the Race of Champions – look forward to seeing you there.

I’ve recently been told that ITV’s ‘go to commercial’ sequence and ‘back to coverage’ sequence during the GP’s features ,respectively, a banana and then lewis’s face? I can’t check this but if anyone has a recording of a GP they might run it through.
If it’s the case then it’s a big oversight by ITV and someone might want to point it out to them. The person who told me was very annoyed so may well have done it themselves.

FYI Lewis is learned and not everyone writes books about themselves. Actually some people offer to write books about you if they sense fame coming your way. And people who wrote or will still write books about Lewis, will be making money out of it. And fame is still his so its alwys his achievement because its his will to practice and win.
Just appreciate when someone is good for he is good and will continue to shine for as long as God wants him to.

Pity you cannot write to the same level you drive. Your winning shows how pratice and support can show good results. If you had spent more time in the class room you would not have had to get some one to write your books. As for becoming what some of your fans say as The best ever, time will tell. Dear Lewis,
I am a serious minority here in the states, an Afro American that watches F1 racing. My first race was at Watkins Glenn in the 70′s and have been hooked every since. With the historical election that my country has just went thru, you would think that there would be coverage of the history that you just made, but there is little to none. Congratulation for a job well done. You are truly one of the best drivers I have ever seen. I have been organizing racing teams for black kids in the states to help them understand that NASCAR is not the only racing (or most difficult or important) in the world and if you work hard enough, you can make it as a driver. Your success have made my job alot easier. If you are ever in the states, I would love to have you give the kids a quick pep talk, it would be a dream come true. Good luck lewis and god speed.

My husband and I have been watching you race since last year and we really liked you from the start. We are avid Mc Claren fans so we hope and pray that you would stay with them from start to finish.
You had my husband in tears when you won the championship in Brazil, well me aswell but I actually cry very easy.
We just want to say congratulations on winning the championship, you are a true champion. We also know that God was on your side and that he protected you all the way. No matter what the FIA did or tried to do they could not stop the works of our great and powerful GOD, our Heavenly Farther.

Without sounding like a complete NUTTER i think Lewis is one of the most inspirational and amazing people i have never met
Read his book, watch all his races [been surrounded by F1 since i can remember since my Dad is mad about it, only makes sense i did too =] ]..and of course think hes gorgeous – but thats just a bonus..
He is an inspiration to me as a young driver..guess being surrounded by all this since i was young means driving to me is so important, so i look up to him

Hi Tom,
I believe you know the rain came some time ago that’s why the drivers all went in to change intermediate tyres. His lap times DIDN’T drop immediately but when the rain comes down heavier (Toyota was betting it won’t be heavier and they can sustain the pace), he couldn’t hit the F1 car pace on dry worn out tyres. Dry tyres causes lap times to deteriorate exponentiallyt, NOT proportionately with increasing rainfall. It’s that simple.
So far, even Bernie Eccleston, Ferrari, retired legends all point to this as the clear reason for overtaking. Michael Schumacher acknowledged this is “destiny” rather than a conspiracy. People get lucky and unlucky in F1. If you wanna say Lewis is lucky with the rain, so be it. But if you are telling me you don’t know that dry tyres can make an F1 car slide BADLY in rainfall to the pace it’s not raceable, or if you are saying you didn’t even know there was a heavier rainfall in the last lap, then we can leave it as it.
We can argue if he was lucky with rain (but then he was perhaps more unlucky in many other occasions in his career as with every premier driver) or not. But if you are doubting IF the FACTS of dry tyre deterioration in rain OR even if the rain got heavier even occured, there is nothing to talk about. The people onsite knew of these facts, that’s why these conspiracy theories are dismissed. Knowing Ferrari, you think they would allow Massa to “lose” the championship if Glock was bribed?
Fans like you are prepared to insult anyone else to support your own driver without getting the hard facts even rigth. That’s immatured. Like I said if Glock changed tyres like everyone else, Lewis would come out of the pitlane 4th and eventually 5th.
As a McLaren fan, I didn’t like Michael Schumacher win in Ferrari so many times as well but when a man deserves to win, he deserves to win. People shouldn’t end up accusing his integrity altogether. Just live with the facts like the drivers themselves do. Don’t try to be smarter than all the professionals involved in this.

No matter all what those of the other teams and/or other detractors may do or say (like those of the Ferrari who say “you are just lucky and favoured”)………………..I think yhey are just expressing their JEALOSY and ENVY because YOU are just the person they lack and wish they had. In Italy, they say you were “lucky” this time arround, to have had Timo Glok with tyre difficulties BUT they forget that last year, the Ferrari was just so damn lucky and won the dreivers’ championship just because you made a few errors at the end, considering the great pressure that was on you. Infact I would say the farrari DIDN’T win BUT You MISTAKENLY gave them the victory. This time arround they still fail toy acknowledge the fact that they had all the luck on their side, considering all the unjust sanctions/penalties inflicted on you…………….but you still maintained the lead! On the very last race, you were SEVEN (7) points above Massa. Vettel overtaking you when the race was just getting to the end was just another LUCK for the Ferarari! Despite all this, you stayed cool BOY, maintained your concentration and proved you are the best, the TOUGHEST OF ALL………….and probably one last detail that makes it difficult for them to swallow is that the “GREATEST”is “coloured”. BUT this just what makes it “SWEETER”.
Lewis, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for existing and above all, for being who you are. Keep up. We (all your fans) love you a pray for good health for you. What a fantastic achievement, with all the pressure that must have been surrounding you in the build up to the season finale and you held your nerve and got the job done. Never forget when you hear the detractors trying to unsettle you, there are far more of us wishing you on towards even greater goals. Personally i have never been into celebrity hero worship but your story to date is truly inspirational. Whilst your the one with the talent your Fathers’ commitment and the sacrifices that must have been made by the whole family are easy to overlook. I ask you to not make Lewis Hamilton give it up from Formula One… does not matter where are he going this kind of behaviour will be find everywhere. Hey Anti-Retards, about your post on November 4th, 2008 at 5:59 am, I watched the race and it sure seem funny that Glock was running fast lap times until the last corner, it is just sad that someone pulled over like that, that is no way to race, suddenly pulling over and changing you line like that can get someone killed, I know I race, just can’t afford an F-1 ride, I never said the Hamiton is not a great driver, it’s just funny that Glock suddenly slowed, he was able to hold his position and run fast for the entire lap, then at the last corner he pulls over and slows down…….
Something isn’t right…..
And by the way you have NO way of knowing where anyone would have finished with or without a tire change, that’s why it’s called racing, they don’t give the trophy for qualifing, you have to run the race. Don’t make youself look stupid with comments like that, if you knew that much you would be working for one of the F-1 teams which I doubt.

Those who keep saying Glock was bribed insults both Glock and Hamilton. And this kind of accusation is not just to say for fun. If this is true, it needs to be investigated. Any conversation, telecommunications, emails in the past months MUST be investigated between Glock, his team, Lewis and McLaren. You think Ferrari will not be keen to investigate this? If this is remotely true, then the top dogs in Ferrari would be the first to investigate this, don’t need sour grapes to come up with a conspiracy theory just because they choose to succumb to the typical “too young to succeed” paradigm.
Before the tyre change, GLOCK was way behind don’t even talk about the top 4. In the last 5 laps when everyone changed tyres, Toyota chosed to keep GLOCK out to finish the race RISKING the slippery road and wet weather. IF he pitted like everyone else, Lewis would still come out at 4th in which case when Vettel overtook him he’d still be 5th in the last few laps -> In which case you would not even get to see him in the 6th.
So, whether Glock stayed out or he chose to pit, Lewis would have gotten his 5th place perhaps even 4th if Kubica didn’t unlap himself at the second last lap giving the drama.
Even if you are not a fan, learn to study the facts right so that you don’t look stupid with the comments. A championship isn’t won and lost in the last race. Letting the euphoria of the last race veil the glory and sorrows of the points are accumulated by both Massa and Lewis for the whole season is entirely retarded. Think about that.

Well what can i say about Lewis hamilton and his family. Lewis your an amazing young man with an incredible talent and i have to say as an english born jamaican it makes me very proud indeed. Your not only the first F1 driver to have almost claimed the title in your first season, but you went one better in your second season and became WORLD CHAMPION.
That is an achievement and a half and some, no one in the history of F1 has accomplished that it’s simple fantastic.
I have to also say a BIG BIG BIG RESPECT to MR ANTHONY HAMILTON you are an amazing man and what a wonderful example to all fathers out there. You are so proud of your son’s achievements and rightfully so as you have had no small part in enabling him to reach the level of sucess he is enjoying now. I would love one day to meet you sir and give you a warm hand shake as one father of two son’s ( aged 20 and 18 ) to another.
You have been a constant in Lewis’s life and have helped him to realize his child hood dream and you Anthony stood by him believed in him invested your time and meagre resources in him, and what a reward to enjoy now. I would imagine that Lewis want’s to shower you with gifts and i suppose you will never want for anything again in your life, i’m so happy for you what more could a man ask other to rejoice in his son’s achievements.
And for Lewis’s brother he deserves a BIG RESPECT too as he has also been a constant support in Lewis’s life. Right from Lewis’s carting days he was always supporting Lewis saying his going to be an F1 driver one day.
And nothing makes me smile more than to see his eyes light up and that wonderful big smile when Lewis wins a race, and when Lewis won the Championship on sunday i do believe he was probably more estatic than Lewis was.
I could write all day and night about the Hamiltons but i would just like to conclude by saying a big well done, and what a great family please never allow money riches people the media anything take away the love you have for each other right at this moment.
It does the nation indeed the whole world a ton of good to see a loving family help and support one another the way you do, well done to you all.

I was a great fan of Michael Schumacher in his day, but when he retired from active racing, I had nobody to root for.
(I never rooted for a team, more for a driver.)
Until I saw your first race. I knew there and then, that you would very soon be the next world champion.
I would have liked to have been able to see you get the championship in your rookie year, but that didn’t happen. I told family and friends, if you didn’t make it this year (2008), you would for sure be champion in 2009.
You made it this year.
Next time, don’t get me so close to a cardiac arrest, please.

Hi Lewis
I am a big fan of Formula1 ever since the Jim Clark era ,I was then a little kid lived in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) which was my birth place although my ancestors came from southern parts of India which is known as Tamil Nadu. I am sure you have heard of Narain Karthikeyan who drove the F1 for Jordan and now he is a test driver with Williams also speaks the same language as I do.
I have been living in Sweden for the past 33 years and have seen many F1 drivers in action including our Ronnie Pettersson who was a team mate to Mario Andretti.
After Ronnie Petersons death no one ever came that close in F1 here in Sweden, what a shame.
Every year I watch the F1 races, but my interest for F1 became more entertained and excitement when a coloured driver like you did his debut in 2007.I am not a prejudice person, I like all human being regardless of their race, but you and Barrack Obama are the only colored people are making history and definitely will be in the future history books for your great achievements.
You are something beyond any young F1 racer driver I have come across, of course Ayrton Senna is exceptional too but he was not young as you when he did his debut.
I admire your racing style, courage’s, dare devil of a driver with much of confidence.
Your victory in fact I celebrated with some friends here in Stockholm, I became so nervous when you dropped down from 5th to 6thn place, I was so angry with Sebastian Vettel who was deliberately stressing you from behind and of course he had his high hopes not for you to win the world championship apparently his dream and Massa did not come true and I am happy for that. But I do appreciate Timo Glock for not fighting you back.
I want you to win 2009 too, I have much hopes in you. I will watch every single race of 2009.
Btw, your father Anthony is a very hard working man, he deserves every single minute of your win, and he is great Man.

CONGRATULATIONS GREAT HAMLTON! You are great and I’ve been you fan since you started in F1. I’m a Brazilian who prayed to God for you to win yesterday’s race in Brazil. You deserve it for your hard work and being a good example for young people in the world. You are a family boy who is always close to your daddy who in turn supports you and is always at your side. I”m sure your family and the british peole are very proud of you. For all this God blessed you with the title yesterday and made you the youngest F1 racer in the world. Hmm, a sigh of relief. Wow, what can i say? Well, on behalf of myself, family, my country; Nigeria, i wish to say CONGRATULATIONS.
Believe me no amount of exclamation mark, i put infront of the CONGRATULATIONS, i just wrote would ever come close to suffice in expressing my happiness on your winning. Also ignore the calmness and how relaxed my wordings may appear. Yesterday; i could hear my heart pounding really really hard in the closing stages of the race. When it was over i didn’t know when i tore my shirt, in joy. I also felt for your brother Nicholas, His pain and concern was all over the garage, coming out and checking the weather, and also in the closing stages before you made the move on Glock. I can connect with that, thinking about my younger ones and how to make it for them. You are an inspiration, Extend my greetings and congratulations to Nicholas, your brother. Lets face it, nobody ever will wish it this way, but with pain comes joy, It was hard for you and for everyone, but believe me it made the winning, all the more historic, momentous, fantastic, Glorious, like in the movies; that last corner, was where it happened, after Massa had crossed the line.
INDEED God does what He Wills. Give thanks to God.

Stefano Domenicali said F1 is a cruel sport, and I think he’s right, it’s a cruel and difficult sport
Lewis knows this well after winning the Belgium GP and victory was given to Massa : Lewis -4 points, Massa +2 points (after Mc Laren team was TWICE CONFIRMED as letting Kimi pass Lewis was “OK”), after massa deliberately spinned Lewis in Japan ( taking just a drive trough, not even 10 secs penalty and putting Lewis last), after Massa touching Bourdais deliberately and with 13 laps left the stewards decide to judge the accident after the race!! Then give a penalty to bourdais ( when it was clearly visible that bourdais haven’t where to go, and was fighting for his position) so that Massa would gain another point extra on Lewis: Massa + 1 point. After some drivers taking the position to help Massa win the title without saying why not helping Lewis, or what he had done to them (maybe because he was young and fast !, maybe because of his color, maybe their fear of self belief Lewis has ….maybe they knew what was going to happen and jealousy triumphed ), after certain comments of other drivers that tried to play mind games to distract Lewis, and for a little some succeeded.
For not mentioning many other tricks used by outsiders/ supporters like Spanish racist supporters welcomed Lewis and his family in the Spanish GP, the voodoo style site full of racist comments/ insults on Lewis, The way Lewis was welcomed in Interlagos like the black cat toy thrown to Lewis in Brazil as a sign of bad luck and the football jersey of Vasco da Gama football team renowned for finishing second for the purpose to ridicule him.
Yes Domenicali it’s a cruel sport, but in the end the real, true, best driver won the championship.

Hi Lew, many congratulations to you on your sucessful journey, boy I must say, yesterday was spine thrilling in the closing stages, at one stage my heart pulsated like a vacuum pump, I had given up I was in absolute disbelief about what was unfolding. I was wondering what was going on in front of my eyes. I even said ” deja vu” 2007 all over again my gracious.
I do know that in racing anything can happen and rain can change the whole plan. I also noted that you were very conservative in your approach considering the state of the championship. I am grateful that the season is finished so that you and the team can return to the drawing board and plan the defence of your crown in 2009.
I have prayed for all of your adversaries in forgiveness of their sins towards you. Its a pity they all they could have spoken when you faltered, to which each of us is subjected to, life is strange in dealing with competitors but what I can say is, they have to try to measure up to you or shut up, you are not responsible for their shortcomings they have to deal with that but they must remember that “FORM is temporary but CLASS is permanent. You have made a lot of people all over the world so happy by your resolve. Some people will say that you were lucky and all other negatives, for me The one thing you did was to avenge your transgressions in 2007.

Hi to Everybody
First of all and most important I would like to congratulate Lewis to the Title F1 World Champion and he youngest F! World Champion ever.
It was a great F1 season with a lot of emotions and also some bad moments like the FIA’s decisions to punish Lewis and take points away. The Title is well deserved. Even if it was very close at the end of the race overtaking Glock in the last turn bit anyhow overdue. If not for the misfortune in 2007 Lewis would have become the youngest F! World Champion back then.
In German Papers people are asking if Lewis is the new Schumacher. I would say no way. Schumacher is Schumacher and Lewis is Lewis. Lewis is in a position to brake Schumachers Records. Should Lewis succeed which we certainly all hope for then the name Schumacher will certainly fade and soon nobody will speak about Schumacher as almost nobody today speaks about Senna.
We can all hope that Lewis is the new Star in the F1 and to break Records in his hopefully long career. From Germany the best wishes and once again congratulations to the youngest World Champion ever.

I wanted you to win so much that i could not bring myself to watch the
race as i was so nervous for you and your team. You have made me proud to be BRITISH well done and keep up the good work.

CONGRATULATIONS!
What and outstanding way to win the greatest motorsport competition in the world. You are an Inspiration! My 14 year old son does not like sport – but he watches you.. I dont let myself get emotionally involved but I can hardly speak to day due to shouting and screaming through yesterdays excellent final race. Its sad that in 2008 we still have to face people who get there pleasure by spreading hate and are ingnorant enought to put down great talent just because the talented person isnt white, but heh the best repsonse is to keep your cool, do your thing and win. Theres is no doubt that jealousy plays a part and what more fitting a response than to provide us with a Hollywood finish and a new WORLD CHAMPION. You make Britain proud! its people like you that put the great back into Great Britain. You have shown that F1 is a sport and like any other sport true dedication and commitment to excellence is the only thing that will make you succeed consistently – Well done Lewis and you have my vote for Sportsman of the year!

I was really nervous at the last runs. Where Vettel pass you I and my
brother said that is the end. But at the and I was so happy. A race
with a happy end.
